Joint Staff Training

10 – 14 May 2021

The training was supposed to take place face to face in Denmark, but due to the pandemic situation it was carried out remotely, with synchronous meetings and independent training activities.

During the five days, the results of the research carried out in the 7 partner countries were presented, as well as the “Curriculum Design”, the guidelines for teachers and the 4 training areas, namely Pronounce, Study, Explore, and Learn Together. The site dedicated to the project and the newly created virtual environments were also presented, which depict the significant urban spaces of each partner country and which will host recreational and educational activities. Students will have the opportunity to practice exploring a virtual environment that will allow them to learn a foreign language and discover a new culture.

The Joint Staff Training was attended by 15 trainers and language teachers, from Italy, Austria, Greece, Ireland, The Netherlands and Spain. The group was able to familiarize themselves with the use of the language learning platform, still under construction, which will be tested in the autumn with a group of adult students with learning problems. Participants were then asked to provide feedback, through questionnaires, in order to adapt the development of the platform based on the needs expressed.
